VASBA believes strongly in creating opportunities in aerospace. Focused on this aspect is our Advocacy & Economic Development Committee. It is charged with the following:

Promote Business Development and Increased Economic Growth
  • Increase business opportunities for industry, government and universities
  • Improve the overall economic health of the region and the state

VASBA, as well as the Committee, is working to unite the Virginia Aerospace community to leverage relationships and create opportunities for our membership and the Commonwealth. This is accomplished by:

  • Monthly lunches with organizations
  • Networking and social functions to share challenges and opportunities
  • Strategic alliances and partnerships with other local, regional and state organizations
  • Participation on the Governors Aerospace Advisory Committee
  • Site visits to aerospace facilities within Virginia
  • Hosting an annual meeting to discuss key issues with Virginia Congressional Delegation
  • Financial support of workforce related activities
